Have you ever been in the waiting room of a Labor and Delivery at the hospital?
No. We had our first 3 at home with a midwife and the 4th in a hospital. I was right there when Daniel was born, so no waiting room. I delivered my 2nd and 3rd children.
I can certainly understand that. Got pregnant with my first right after graduation, doing a few things differently this time. If I didn't have such an amazing OB (even does breech delivery) and hospital, I'd be strongly considering a home birth.
With me being the only exception, my little sister and younger cousins (on my mom's side) were all born at home, so I've never had to go through the hospital BS.
My mother got pregnant with me when she was still in high school, so she didn't know much about parenting or alternative childbirth methods.
That is awesome! My husband was ecstatic at just cutting the cord :)
That's awesome! Why were you the exception, if you don't mind my asking?
I don't think so, except briefly. I was in the room when a friend (my future sister-in-law, but I didn't know that then) had her 1st baby. I've been present at another friend's 2 home births. Can't remember if I ever waited in L&D, though.
Nope, but maybe one day. . . Course I'll prolly have people in the room in the future once I'm married or whatever's gonna happen happens
