Guitar Heroes, Country vs Pop
The public probably knows them more as singers/recording artists.
As instrumentalists, both are insanely gifted.
That said... Vince all day every day
Ugh...john mayer makes me gag.
Vince is really fantastic with a guitar. John Mayer's playing is pretty simple.
Vince also plays mandolin and banjo too. Am I correct?
Frigging hate when you do this
Pop over country, but almost anyone over John Mayer. I picked Vince Gill.
Even hearing him play guitar makes me want to kick babies
I think he plays the bass and the harmonica, too.
Have you tried to play his music? You'd realize it's not simple. Maybe the first album, but still hard.
Why does everyone hate him so much?
Curious how well people know their playing as opposed to their signing
Yeah, but it's. guitar playing question.. :-p
I guess I could have picked him strictly on his talent with a guitar, and I like some of his blues stuff, but in general I'm just not a fan of his music. The style he's most known for makes me want to find a tall building to jump off of.
Your the man
Is this even a question? John Mayer all the way.
*you're*. For you pronunciation nazis
Vince Gill is amazing - but what about Steve Warner
Wolfe, where are the classical, Castilian guitarists?
John Mayer is sick live. It's a shame he puts out mediocre poppy songs on the radio
Really? Why the Hate on Mayer?
I thought John Mayer was so so...until I saw him play live. The man can wail on the guitar. You'd never know it with how chill his music is. I respect him and like his music much more now.
Vince Gill is a stud when it comes to guitar. So are Lee Roy Parnell, Ricky Skaggs, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban. John Mayer is an amateur compared to them.
