Have you ever been personally affected by cancer? Either you or someone you know?
My dad and mom both had it my grandmother and my aunt. I had a stage one that was contained.
Wife, father (2 types), grandmother, uncle, close friend, next door neighbor and 3 co-workers.
I'm so sorry.
My dad, his sister and his father all died of different forms of cancer before I was a teen.
Both grandfathers had skin cancer, one had prostate cancer, great uncle had cancer in his throat, have 2 friends to successfully have tumors removed from brains, also infant child of a friend recently had tumor removed from brain. Also think 1...
My grandma, but she's ok now :)
My mother got stage one but it was contained, I'm glad that was the worst of it.
Grandmother had cancer on ovary.
Oh and a close friend of the family had lung cancer and was denied transplant.
Both my grandmothers and my mother passed from breast cancer. My aunt and sister are also battling
Thankfully my grandmother and dad survived. Sadly my friend's mother did not.
My Dad died in June, 2007, just 3 weeks after being diagnosed with stage IV gall bladder cancer and sent home to die. My son and I flew to Daytona Beach to be with him and Mom those three weeks.
My wife was diagnosed with colon cancer and lost a
third of her colon, then went through weeks of chemotherapy. She's been cancer-free for five years but was left with persistent neuropathy in her feet from the chemo.
Thank God that's all.
Both grandparents on moms side. One won. One lost
I'm sorry I really didn't realize that cancer was so widespread...
I am very sorry for you loss Kris
My dad had kidney cancer. Apparently if you're going to get cancer it's the one to get as it has a very high survival rate.
Early breast cancer for me, plus another sorta-cancer in girly parts. Neither a huge deal. Maternal grandmother had colon cancer; did very well. Ex-outlaws died of cancer; breast for her, esophagus for him.
And numerous friends, dead. Two coping.
My mother died from cancer.
My mom survived breast cancer. Nasty stuff.
