Same here, and it ruins going out to eat when you know you can do most things better than the restaurants.

I do! I'm glad that I have only myself to cook for at present, because what I like might not please many other people's tastes or needs. I'm also glad that I have plenty of time to cook, and that I'm not having to do it after a long day at work. Although, I usually make something that I can prepare pretty quickly anyway, like in about 20 minutes.

Cooking isn't bad, but the cleanup is a drag.

Just made smoked salmon marinated with lemon juice, soy sauce, brown sugar and a pinch of minced garlic cooked on a cedar plank on my big green egg 😉👌

Tonight I made baked pork chops, creamed asparagus, twice baked potatoes and peach jello salad with angel food cake and strawberries for dessert. I love cooking.

That's how Statgat and I roll. I love cooking, he prefers cleaning. It's perfect!

I agree on the clean up. I like the rule that many homes have which is the one who cooks doesn't clean. 😃

Buy a basic cookbook and start to learn. Follow the recipe exactly the first time. When eating, take note of how it tastes compared to your personal taste so you can adjust as needed.

I like cooking when I have the energy for it after work. I've been looking into slow cooker foods I can start in the morning before I leave.

I enjoy eating home cooked meals! I want to enjoy cooking them, I need more practice.

I cooked tonight! My screaming 2 year old reminded me why I find cooking stressful. I told myself that it is a season of life and the more I practice now, the more I'll enjoy it later!

Cooking can stress me out, so can meal planning and shopping. I want to cook more so learn some tricks and skills, making it easier to enjoy.

I've tried to enjoy cooking but I find it boring and rush it. I'd rather do the cleaning afterwards.

Oh meal planning and shopping totally stress me out too, but once I have the meals planned out and have all of the ingredients at my apartment, it's great! It's only the act of cooking that relaxes me, not the prep. 😁

I love cooking and baking. Homemade food tastes delicious, I love the process of creating a dish, and it relaxes me when I'm stressed.

Yes! I cook a lot, though I am still a work in progress. I've gotten much better- in fact my husband's coworkers demand my food at least once a week so I cook for a handful of them 😊 I try and cook one new recipe a week, but that doesn't always happen.

Yes! Tonight I made baked salmon with wild rice, and my wife put together an amazing garden salad to go along with it.
Eating out is rare for us because we both love to prepare good food at home.

Even if you did that'd be a bad idea nutritionally.

Even "healthy" stuff is usually unhealthy coming from a restaurant because of the way they cook it

Depends who I'm cooking for. Some are critical and are never satisfied. Others are fine

My husband was a single dad with two kids when I met him. When I met the kids they asked me if I knew how to cook. They asked if I could cook spaghetti without sticking together. After that I cook for them they wanted me. They even wanted me to go to camp with them so I could cook.

My oldest son honeymooned in this area. I was in school at the time. He came by with a bag of groceries so I cook for him and his new wife on the honeymoon.

Love to! I made my 'Ovorum Lucifer' tonight. Scrambled eggs with cheese, finger hot peppers, jalapeno, habanero, and Bhut Jolokia peppers spiced with Cayenne and Chipotle seasoning. Fantastic.
