If Russia ever fell into a depression. Should America help them out?
Each economy has to figure it out on its own. However if it would benefit the USA and the rest of the world. then we should do what we can. The Russian people are what matters not their government.
No our sanctions put them there. They didn't fall they were pushed.
The reason we have sanctions on them is essentially to put them into a depression. We won't lift a finger to help once they get out of Ukraine, even then we may not.
We could help them out and gain favors from them. We can convince them to leaven the Ukraine and tell them that's running there economy down. Than they won't be so hostile
No way that'll happen, in a perfect world maybe. Continuing with the sanctions is the only path we can take, Putin isn't exactly the most reasonable person in the world.
But when he isn't leader anymore. Would we want to leave a bad impression with Russia. We should pretend to care so that the next leader of russia is not a dick to america
The seeds of distrust and hatred have been planted when the Soviet Union fell. There are mixed reports that he won't run for reelection in 2018, our best hope is to have a young progressive running Moscow.
