Do you consider servitude to a divine being to be an essential aspect of your life?

The Flying Spaghetti Monster does not require servitude from his followers.

As a Daoist I'd have a very confuzzed answer. So I'll save it for later.

Learning the boundaries. Limits of what they are. The Universe takes a teeny piece of themselves and puts it into a corporeal body.

Sometimes a tree, a bug, a panda, a human. Then this piece walks around and interacts with other pieces of itself. It learns. Then it dies and God incorporates it's experience into itself, and sends that piece back out again with the

variables changed to learn some more.

Sometimes that piece is in a miscarriage, or an abortion because God wants to know that experience and add it to the catalogue of experiences. Other times as a being that wreaks havoc and pain on others.

But, this is a Q about servitude.

To see others as brothers and sisters, and aid them in kind is serving God. To pick up trash in a park is to serve God [Gaia]. To only serve ones self, is to serve God.

When we shed these corporeal meat puppets, we return to who we are - to the whole... but we never really left the whole. Some of us just don't realize that.

I don't think that any "divine beings" exist, so no. But even if I did, I'd probably be annoyed at the idea of "servitude."

Take every person, tree, blade of grass, panda, rock, gnat, molecule of water, anything and everything that ever could possibly interact with anything else and put it into a "set". Make sure you don't miss anything. Now, include everything you

missed: air molecules for example.

Now, take everything on the next planet and include it into that set. Take the mass of the sun, and all seen and unseen energy, and put it into that set. Every bit if debris in the asteroid belt too.

Do the same with the next "uninhabited" solar system, and so on.

Add in all of the virtual particles that keep popping in and out of existence. Add in all of the energy we can't see, or even conceive of:

alternate universes and everything in them, Mathematical models of existence that we believe can't exist, even just the ideas of improbable things. Put them into the set.

This "set" is God. This is the mind, body, muscle, sinew, gall stones of God.

We are God. We are the supreme being.

In a book by Raymond Feist, I believe he hit on the reality really well. To paraphrase: The Universe [God] is like a two year old child. They are testing out who they are.

I believe in God, and am spiritual. But in no way do I describe my faith as servitude.

Wow that's a really profound and interesting philosophy. Any other readings you recommend? I find it pretty fascinating. How did you first exposed to this?
