So, half of a giant tree fell on my house this past Sunday. Yeah, that sucked. Though it did damage the roof, it didn't actually enter the house. So, that's awesome! All in all, my position is we're really fortunate cause this could've be way worse.

It could've been so much worse. I'm glad you're OK.

Whoa! We had some friends who had their trampoline go through their giant window in their living room and through part of the roof. Craziness! Glad you're ok!

No one hurt? Fortunate.

Funny. On father's day, I was helping my mom get her house ready to sell. A huge tree fell all around her. Branches dug in 4" all around her, but all she suffered was two broken fingers and a knock on the head.

Very lucky.

I'm sorry that happened! I say you were fortunate that no further damage was done.

Seems reasonable to feel fortunate. If you live near big trees long enough, eventually one will fall on the house. Having no one get hurt with minimal damage is a good thing. Way better than the alternative, not having the trees.

Just read about a similar situation but hit a girl sleeping in the bedroom. she's critical but will recover. Took two hours to save her.

Agreed, I'd be very sad without trees at all.

Wow whichend!! I'm so glad y'all are okay and that the damage isn't any worse. I think I'd feel exactly the same as you do. I know I would, actually.

Glad to hear it's mostly ok. It's kinda like someone being shot in the body and someone says they're lucky the bullet didn't hit any organs. Then I think lucky would be the bullet missing them altogether. But at least it's not the worst case scenario

😔 that's a rough one. Glad she's going to be ok. I admit, that's a hard one to feel more fortune than not about.

But your dilemma is a real dilemma too. Sorry it happened. years ago my in law county place had a tree poke a hole in the roof. grandma died in March and we couldn't get there until August.

The mushrooms on the couch were pretty. The floor rotted, had to burn a lot and fix the roof and LR ceiling. What a mess. I wanted to torch the place.

This is not to garner sympathy! 😁

I'm curious if others would see this as fortune cause I've been told I'm crazy for thinking this way.

Holy crap, I don't blame you! I'd probably want to light it up too. Thanks rons.
