Lived 5 minutes away from a guy then we decided to start dating only after we had both moved...over 5 hours apart. We did that for almost 3 years. Now we've been married over 9 years!!!

Yes!! My husband and I met 21 years ago today on the phone. He was in Oregon, I was at college in Idaho. Our parents arranged for us to meet, we hit it off and were married 3 months later. We were only together for 14 days of that 3 months. And that was before Skype and cell phones!!!

Yes. She had to wait two years to get legal admittance from Iraq to America. Probably 3 years in total we were in a long distance relationship.
Now she's here and almost a naturalized citizen.

Yes, for about five minutes. She moved to Hong Kong, and after two weeks, she told me that she wanted to cheat on me and have an open relationship. Haha, no thanks.

Not only did I marry her after 2.5 years of long distance (700 miles), she was my high school sweetheart. Take that statistics!

I'm married to a man I met and talked to online and was friends with for 13 years before we fully acknowledged our feelings and took a huge chance and met. Once we met, we couldn't keep anything long distance, and he moved 1000 miles to be with me. I'm one of the lucky ones too. :)

We didn't like our long distance relationship so we got rid of the king size bed and went back to the queen size.

Yes. I am an introvert who went thru SEVERAL online relationships before I finally "clicked" with one. I e-dated my current bf from May 2008 until March 2012, which is when I moved from AL to WI to live with him. Still happily living together :)

For a few months, followed by the inevitable long distance breakup. That was in the dark ages. These days I'm pretty sure the right mix of an open mind, enthusiasm, and a Skype account could keep things interesting for much longer.

I think I need to get 'things' figured out locally, before I start spreadin' myself out all over a map! But, certainly in no hurry...

Most all of my relationships have been or ended up as long distance. Would not recommend it or do it again.

Came to the US as an exchange student back in 08/09, and met this wonderful girl in the spring of 09. I went back to Denmark that summer and we visited each other a couple of times a year, got engaged and now almost a year ago we got married and I'm immigrating to the US within a couple of months!

I'm in one right now. I moved five hours away to go to college, whereas my boyfriend stayed home and is going to a college near home. It's hard, but it's always so worth it when I get to see him. :)
