You learn that a company will begin using hydraulic fracking in the county where you live. Do you feel safe or uneasy?
I'd make it very clear to the county that I'll be attempting to set my water on fire on a regular basis, and if I ever succeed, I'll be suing the city, the county, the state, the company doing the fracking, God, Nature, Hades, the dollar, and Obama.
I'm still not clear on why we let this practice continue.
It's interesting that the states that would see the easiest effects have no problem with it.
The new Florida motto: We used to be a state, until the sinkholes took over.
Right here on the San Andreas fault? I'd raise so much shit you'd be able to hear me in Alaska!
Very uneasy. We have fault lines nearby, and I'd be afraid that cracking could set off the fault.
The sink holes are due to h2o usage. Not related. Your point is irrelevant.
Why would they do that? Because the ground here just isn't unstable enough already, or because our water is too clean and they want it to suck here too?
Yup. Mudslides. Definitely earthquakes. Water contamination. It'd ruin the fish that they just brought back.
They've been fracking around this area all my life. I would be perfectly fine with it.
Hopefully they work their way towards my property and hit the mother load! Bring it on so a lot of folks can get rich!
There is nothing good about fracking.
They do fracking in my county. No issues.
Not the current ones. But do you honestly think fracking would help???
I don't want earthquakes and flammable water. I'd move
It's all over here.
You think that was because of fracking?
Meh. I don't care. But they won't be very successful.
We get enough earthquakes as it is. No mas.
That I'll actually agree with.
Makes as much sense as putting ten pounds of crap in a one pound bucket.
We're already earthquake prone.
I live on tidal lands. Not a good idea
Oklahoma has already become earthquake center and it is thought to be due to fracking. It is already within 50 miles of where I live.
