Sounds a lot like death trap to me.

But poison is messy, especially in a house or garage, because then you find the dead body before the kids do.
Nothing worse than one of the kids deciding a dead mouse is her new doll.

Neither. Eat poison and die.

Maybe I can build a casino then. The spirits can tell me where to put the buffet and blackjack tables.

Makes no sense to keep them alive because they will either just come back in, or invade your neighbor, or have 20 babies to invade you and your neighbor.

The cats are never allowed in certain areas of the house. The mouse must have figured out our system.

How, with all the cats you have around there, was a live mouse in the house? Haha!!

Growing up, my family always tried to let mice/bugs/etc. live. We would just release them outside. So, I prefer live traps.

Probably because they turned into zombie mice. Maybe you live on an old Indian burial ground.

The girls insisted that I catch it alive and release it into the wild, which I just did 10 minutes ago.

Poison usually dries them up so they don't stink and I use poison to kill at least a couple dozen a year and I rarely find a corpse.

Regular snap trap or recently we tried a "farmers trap" in the garage... Works great!

Rat poison kills, rat rots, rat dries up. It's the drying time that stinks. Bigger rat. Bigger smell.
