Have you ever accidentally squirted something in your eye that didn't belong there?
Not squirted, but don't rub your eye with Thai pepper juice on your fingers. Ouch!
I was thinking the same thing HA!
Toothpaste flung off of my brush once. Ouch!
Silence is golden.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It really does hurt. Nothing quite prepares you for it. 😑
My eyes have always been where they belong.
I got toothpaste in my eye for the first time this year. I honestly thought I was going to lose vision it hurt so badly. :( My eye was pink for like 8 days, but thankfully it's 100% better now.
I'll bet it's the gritty abrasive in the toothpaste that causes most of the irritation.
Good thing you rinsed your eye. Any idea what's in it? I had never heard of it before.
Not in my eye but others eyes.
I drink water with lemon all day, every day. Trying to squirt in the lemon and keep control of the seeds can send those droplets in odd directions. ...I should probably juice the whole lemon and store in something with a spout. Eureka!
No, but once I was watching fireworks and a small piece landed in my eye. Stung for a week, but no permanent damage, thankfully.
I was doing an operation and my co-surgeon reached in with a scalpel and accidentally hit a vein. Blood shot straight up over my face guard and hit me in the eye. It was gross.
Oh, you don's want to know this. I was blowing leaves. There was a pile of dog poo. Life is hard.
Yesterday (today to this all-nighter), I was forcing a bottle of no-fray to work and it suddenly squirted so furiously that it sprayed my glasses, my eye, and a 9" splotch on my shirt. This project is so annoying… Surprisingly, my eye seemed…
fine. I rinsed it out and only 15 minutes later, could hardly tell that anything had happened to my eye. My shirt on the other hand… wow it's stiff!
Last month i picked up what I thought was eye drops and put it my left eye. Turned out it was ear drops?? Burned like H..
Nitric acid, I don't recommend trying that.
Lemon juice :'(
Oh, don't go out of your way to do that. I was just curious... I could probably look up online anyway.
Acid. Not fun.
I'll have to check later. All I know is that the packaging said to rinse with water and contact a physician if irritation persists.
I smashed a bottle once and got a piece of glass in my eye
So much for normal PPE doing its job…
Hurt like hell at first, though - ran inside and held a wet washcloth to it. I was wearing my glasses, so it was just bad luck it hit at that angle!
