Foodie Friday: Tonight I tried a sushi roll (term used loosely...) with tempura pickle, fried onion straws, rice, and bbq soy paper. Are you willing to try bizarre foods like this?
Bean sprouts wrapped in cilantro dipped in miso soup is surprisingly delicious, in case anyone was wondering.
Incase anybody is curious, it tasted like I was eating a mini bbq burger.
Hell. Freaking. yes. I LOVE SUSHI!!!
Not a fan of pickles, so no thanks
That was nasty lol
We're having homemade pasta tonight the grandkids are helping me. We're going to have purple pasta
Generally no, but except for the sushi part that I associate with raw fish, the rest of that sounds pretty great. I bet it would really be good wrapped around a little smokie link.
We were saying they should have replaced the rice with more onion straws then had bbq eel in the middle. A smokie would work too though!
I don't even consider that bizarre, except the paper.
We had Hawaiian pizza. For the adults pizza crust I used pineapple juice for the liquid, coconut oil for the fat. + pepper flakes, brown sugar and ginger. Had a bit of fire. Very good.
yeah ....why would you eat paper?
I would totally try that! I have traveled to places with some intresting food, I tried everything I was offered. That's not to say I finished eating everything though.
Faarrr to delicious. I had a lot more than I usually would. But it went really heavy on the cheese. If you want good pizza you need lots of cheese.
I would def try it!
As an introvert, I tend to stick to what I know and not venture outside my comfort zone. Food though is one way I like to be adventurous.
No, but sushi with pickles, onion and bbq paper isn't exactly normative haha
It's soy paper not paper ha
Bizarre would include earth worms.
I like the sushi fusion movement. We need to move away from over fishing our seas so this hopefully will help.
That sounds yummy... definitely would try it
I'll try any food once
Mostly. But, I don't do weird meats.
Is sushi bizarre? I eat it ever week...
