I'm looking forward to putting together an "Are you X than the average person?" infographic. Smarter, funnier, more creative, more attractive...should be interesting to see the characteristics of those few people who answered all "Yes" or all "No".

No. My sister though, is sooo creative its unbelievable! She is currently writing 5 books, she makes clay sculptures all the time, she can draw like no other, and creates amazing/funny videos! She is one talented girl. I'm very proud of her. Her creative mind never stops. She will go far in life.

One of my teachers wrote of me that he lives in a world of his own creation. I still live there even at 60 years of age and it's wonderful. ????

When my teacher told us to write about anything three pages long I wrote about what it would be like to be stuck in the angel of a nativity scene. Does that type of thing count ?

I think so. I love doing all kinds of creative things. Recently I've been making my own knitting and crochet patterns. I designed my wedding dress 21 years ago. I make amazing birthday cakes for my children (Batman yesterday & Taz today for 2 of them). And many other ways.

I finally got to say "yes" to one of these, too! I write, sew, knit, crochet, spin my own yarn (I have a spinning wheel and a drop spindle), make fancy schmancy birthday cakes, sketch...I don't feel right unless I'm creating something.

I think some people have very different definitions of what it means to be creative. It is curious though that some people's definition of creativity pretty much applies to everyone, therefore not really making them more creative than average. Some of these comments made me laugh :-)

I'd actually love to live in one of the historical re-enactment villages. I have the right skills. I just need the right clothes and no one would even know I wasn't from the 20th century!!!

If you are serious you have to beat a 150 page grammar and 5,000 words of mine. We are not alone, I've read an estimate of 20,000 experimental languages. Klingon is well known for instance.

Not at all! Of course I also answered no to being smarter, better looking and funnier. I will, however, answer yes to "lower self-esteem" than the average! :)

It's fun to be creative on your essay questions on finals. I like to have a lot of fun with those. Once I had to talk about my favorite part of English and I said I get chills whenever I hear about adverbs

I always feel like I have to be doing something with my hands, and doing arts and crafts is the perfect outlet for that. I especially love doodling, origami, and most recently, crocheting.

I'm creative, but as with so many of these, "Are you above average in XYZ?" you've got to wonder, "Since when have you been able to judge yourself as being above average in XYZ area?" I said no.

Create my own embroidery designs for my machine I create my own knitting designs and crochet designs and I have created many recipes so I would say yes. Also haves tendency for depression. Tends to go with being creative.

Why do you say that, and how do you know? What percent of people would you EXPECT to say they think they're more creative than average? What percent of people actually ARE more creative than average? Isn't that last figure 50%? Take a look at the numbers again.

I answered yes, simply because my mind sometimes wanders along very strange and creative paths, which I'm pretty sure most other people's minds haven't traveled. One time in my teens I started thinking along the lines or Rene Descartes, before I even knew about him . . .
