In general, do you think those elected to lead us are smarter than you are?
They're mostly better liars than I am.
Of course not. But then, most people aren't.
So well rounded general information with good comprehension. Uhhh .. were so screwed.
Are you kidding, I'm pretty sure they aren't smarter than my cat let alone me.
If you're smart you're smart enough to not run for an elected office.
Not smarter, but more confident and more ethically flexible.
Some are smarter, but too many are not. Mostly they are ego driven, ethically challenged, narcissistic individuals who want power.
Some I have met are, but not the lion's share. In my experience, many are moderately intelligent, but more greedy or power-hungry than most.
The truly smart folks generally don't seek politics as a career,
but I have met a few brilliant 'reluctant politicians' ( local/state in this example) who make a difference using their intellect. We need more of that kind, but why in the world would they be attracted to that?
I'd say they are more arrogant and in need of attention than me. But smarter, not necessarily.
I think they are smarter about what they do.I feel that way about everybody's job. It's what you do, it has to be what you know.Public office on high levels needs the academic skills, that is if law makers actually read the bills they vote on.
Are? no. Should be? yes.
Haha, hadn't seen this.. That proves the point nicely
No, they just have different goals. Many of them also have different ethics.
