Bowe, the released Taliban prisoner has yet to speak to his parents. He spent 5 years speaking Pashtun and has forgotten how to speak English! If you were in a foreign country where no English was spoken could you forget the language?
I don't think it is possible to forget your language in five years if you spoke it for 20.
I highly doubt I'd ever forget the language.
From what I can find out he is a deserter,
Obama is a traitor, should face the charge
Something aint right (see my poll) - winks
I've lived in a foreign country and only spoken Spanish long term. I had no problems speaking English to the customs man when I arrived in the Miami airport. I think Sgt. Bergdahl is putting on to avoid the inevitable.
I agree. This guy seems shady.
When he got to the helicopter he allegedly wrote "sp?" for special forces...asking if that's who the guys were. Don't tell me he forgot English....he didn't.
I don't think he wanted to come back. His "inability" is probably just refusal.
He better not get a medal.
The Army is interrogating him big time as we speak.
While I did not not have direct experience, kanadajin3, a Canadian that has been living in Japan for a few years, has started to speak 'engrish' due to her constantly being around Japanese, so I think it's possible.
Ummmm. No. Especially if English is your first language.
You don't forget your first language like that. It's a bluff.
Unless he's suffered some sort of TBI but I doubt that
