No... I live somewhere where I could drive on unpaved roads frequently, but I don't.

Every day. I live on a dirt road. 0.5 mile to pavement.

Ours is semi-private because it has only a few landowners and most are close relatives of T’s. It used to be farmland owned by his cousin. He was the first person to live on the property after he bought about 15 acres. Then his brother moved here—and later one of his nieces. We live at the end of the road past the “dead end” sign so almost all the cars and trucks that come here were invited in some capacity!

Every day no, but a few times a week, yes

Our road is private. 8 homeowners pitch in to have it regraded when needed. Or cleared when trees fall. Seems to work.

We live 2 miles down a gravel road.

Not commonly. When we go to someplace like a farm for an event.

We used to do so every day. My school bus was on dirt rutted roads with one lane runner bridges and when I was a school bus driver in the beginning, I drove on them. One was one way on a cliff side. The oncoming vehicles had to back all the way down to the bottom of the curving hill if we met because I was not allowed to back up.

Growing up where dirt roads were a daily venture, one of my mandates when finding a property to reside was, NO dirt roads! I suppose that’s a bit of a falsehood, while true I do not make a dirt road treks to get to and from home, I do have miles of dirt roads on property, so…

Not so much anymore. 20 years ago there were lots of dirt roads … and then we got infiltrated by Northerners moving here.
I don’t mind dirt roads, the second house I bought was on a dirt road, lived there over a decade — in the Snow Belt off Lake Ontario!

It would not take us long to get one. All we would have to do is drive to the stop sign at the end of the street and keep on going, but we usually don’t go that way.

We’re at the end of road the also. All are either delivery trucks or mistakes. 😂

32 lots, each 2 acre. All wooded. 4 dirt roads, 8 plots on each road. The dirt roads empty on to a paved road owned by the university — they have a large agricultural research farm — pine farm, aquaculture, uS geological survey, usda. The paved road goes to a protected scenic state road. All quite nice.

The area was platted in the 1960s and is now surrounded by a state preserve, the university property, and a county preserve.

The university property contains an archeological site. The Spanish mission of San Francisco de Potano, founded in 1606.

Yes. We live on a dirt road which is over half a mile to pavement. The county keeps the dirt road in pretty good shape most of the time.

Lived ten years on an unplaved road in Hawaii. That was enough.
