Do you think that after the next fours years that new mayor Zohran Mamdani policies will “crime” be worse or better than 2025 levels?

If I'm a criminal and I know a mental health worker will be called to the scene instead of a police officer, I'm more motivated to follow through with it. What the hell is a social worker going to do. If this is the direction they go, they are screwed.

Crime seems to increase no matter what you do. There are just too many damn people for society to support.

Crime will definitely be worse, but crime statistics might improve because people will likely fail to report crimes as they become more discouraged by police inaction and a revolving door on the justice system.

Mayors don't make that much of a difference it's the economic conditions of America overall

Red hats won't believe it even if it does get better. They are already saying that if numbers look good he must have cooked the books. They still lie to themselves about Trumps loss in the 2020 election. Personal deception is the conservative mantra.

It's going to be like the 1980s but way worse. I feel bad for the law-abiding working class citizens (specifically those who didn't vote for him) that will be getting screwed both ways when his economic and police agendas both backfire spectacularly.

Won’t you be surprised if that doesn’t happen? He’s new, energetic, and optimistic. Give him a chance.

Nah, we've seen this movie before. I'm not giving price fixing and neutering the police a chance. It's an incontrovertible fact that both of those things don't work.

This is the way leftism "works."

The impediments to living freely cause problems.

The "cure" will be more obstacles.

Aaaannd the downward cycles continue.

Even a child would understand that it will be worse….

It'll be a situation of don't believe Your Lying Eyes.
Statistically there will be a major decrease in crime because that's what the left has been perfecting the last 10 years.
That is changing the metrics and how they're gathered or defined.

The more mental health is addressed the more crime will come down.

Do you have any studies that support your opinion?

He will demand the police stop reporting crime statistics. That’s the new trend in blue cities to “reduce crime.”

Better I think his policies will help but even if they don’t crime has dropped pretty uniformly across most major cities every year since covid.

BJ, the books have been cooked, major crimes have been classified as lesser crimes, while several others have gone unreported or the cases dropped to remove them from the record. Look no further than Washington DC.

Exponentially worse.
