I said I’d feel safe too but you’re outta your mind saying you’d feel safer there than the US. It’s true that Mexico is big and not everywhere is dangerous, but you absolutely have to exercise more caution even in the safest parts of Mexico than you would in America

Yes but only in the tourist towns and going straight to the resort. I’ve been twice in the last 6 months for weddings but I don’t ever leave the resorts.

Yeah, major places like Mexico City or resorts would probably be fine. But like anywhere, there are places you would want to avoid, and Mexico probably has a decent amount of those.

It's the only country where I have been arrested.
The police robbed me...and made me angry, so I broke stuff...which is why they came back and arrested me.
Just say close to where you are staying. Everywhere south of Texas is a crap shoot.

How many times a year do U.S. officials warn Americans to stay away from Mexico because of Cartels ?
There’s been documentaries about all the murders over the years of foreigners murdered in Mexico.

We did about 10 years back. Not exactly harmful or life threatening in any way. I’d much rather visit Mexico than visit any state in the Deep South where MAGA is located.
