I'm 90% sure that me, my husband, and my son all have it. We have the symptoms of fever, slight difficulty breathing, and cough. My son went to get tested today because he has to for work (ER nurse), so I'll know for sure in a few days.

Yes.
My friend in NY whose mother was “not sick enough” to take to the hospital (per the ambulance driver) is now hospitalized with a positive diagnosis of coronavirus!
And her son, my friend, caught it from her taking care of her because she wasn’t taken to the hospital.
Now he’s quarantining at home, trying to not share it with his wife and daughter.
This shows why NY is a hotspot. The decision-making and control process is ass-backwards there.
You don’t get to the hospital until you’re too sick.
You don’t get medication unless you’re at the hospital.
You can’t get tested unless you go to the hospital.
It’s the opposite of California. Maybe this is why CA curve is flattened? (Well, let’s see what happens now that it’s hit LA’s skid row)

Yes... I found out last night that two good friends of mine (married couple in NYC) are recovering from coronavirus. I know of one other acquaintance (in Mass) who is also recovering.

Yeah they just talked about another symptom, pinkeye and that’s one of the things my doctor said when I went in but my eyes were really red. It’s a good thing that I did a lot of walking before this hit. But you can old and survive

Yes, unfortunately.
My good friend from Boston is infected. He is 75, and not in the best shape right now. Thankfully, he isn’t critically ill, just has really bad flu-like symptoms. I’m hoping he gets better soon.

One Coworker’s mother died of coronavirus and my other coworker’s mother was just diagnosed today. We are only a small company of 15 people so it’s a lot.

I think I had it, but could not get tested, so I won’t know unless I get the “real” virus later on...

Not that I’m aware of. Something like a fifth of all cases are from health professionals, which would seem to suggest engaging in preventive measures even if it isn’t doubling every 2-3 days.

I’m still in IA. The governor finally shut down most non-essential businesses but at least as of last night we aren’t on stay-in place or anything like that.

Yep I do now. Like four or 5 cousins in Lexington, KY and Cincinnati, OH apparently they met and had dinner and all are in ICU on ventilators. Just found out tonight when a daughter posted status on her mother’s Facebook page asking thanking folks for prayers.

Yes, my wife’s best friend. She is a nurse on the covid unit. She had a patient that came in about 2 weeks ago and was positive. They ran out of PPE, but were still caring for him. She developed a cough about a week ago but they told her to keep working since she didn’t have a fever. A couple people on her unit recently tested positive and are all at home quarantining. My wife has been playing games on her phone with her to try to take her mind off of it.

One of the NPs that she works with unknowingly gave it to their mom, and their mom passed away on the way to the hospital, really sad.
The original patient that they were caring for just recently passed away as well.

Thankfully no but with both of my best friends working essential jobs I’m wondering how long that will be true for.

I'm not anyone would from these numbers. It actually tracks very close to the latest US poll outside SOHs that lists 22%. I can't think of another potentially fatal disease in my lifetime where about 1 out of 5 people knew someone who had it in under 3 months. That's mind boggling.

Please don’t let the responses fool you. This is a serious pandemic and needs to be take seriously. My neighbors father is on a ventilator in an induced coma trying to fight for his life. And he followed social distancing. Be smart and safe everyone.
