Crazy story. I was at a boarding school for a year, and my parents had sent me a 5 pound bag of sour patch kids. The staff ended up locking it up in the pantry, and the kids that would go down to help cook dinner, I found out, had eaten all of them.

I ended up peeing in one kid’s shoe because of it, and we fought in the chapel that night to settle the beef. Needless to say, I won pretty easily because I punched him square in the face as soon as he showed up.

I have so many memories from when i was at boarding school, but that was definitely one of the more memorable ones.

Yes my friend in college was jumped by a guy with brass knuckles because of the color of his skin. I stepped in and kicked the shit out of the racist asshole. The campus police chief shook my hand and said I did a great thing. The kid who jumped my friend was kicked off campus forever.

Well he called him a sand n-bomb and started freaking out on him telling him to leave the country and other racially motivated stuff for no reason we weren’t at a bar or drinking or anything middle of the day on the weekend when no one was around on campus while we were walking to the cafeteria for lunch. Yes people do get attacked for race it does happen. This isn’t me being dramatic or pushing an agenda this is actually the circumstances of my one and only fight.

In 93 or so. Got attacked with a knife by a loony "friend", stabbed in the cheek, I broke his wrist in a counter move.
Chose the wrong friends, that guy got 6 years hard time for strongarm robbery later in life.

Just happened to be a racist huh? I have been in more fights than I can count with people of all colors and I have never seen or been in a fight motivated by race. Normally it was because of alcohol, bullying in general, the other person being an asshole or a crime. Never race.

Seems derived and agenda driven. Not saying it didn’t happen, but having been in hundreds of fights, inclusive of MMA bouts, I have never seen it. Also played college football with 50% of the team being black. Fights and disagreements happened all the time during practice. Never saw it then either.

I played college football too actually idk what that has to do with anything. And just because you’re someone that gets in loads of fights doesn’t mean you’ve seen all reasons people fight. We found out later he had just returned from Afghanistan and was there to visit his girlfriend when he got sidetracked.

Arrests and sentencing is centered around those that do the crime. For whatever reason, blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime for their percent of populous. As a society we need to figure that out.

There will always be people that are racist on all sides. And there will be crimes that are racially motivated. I have an issue with everything in this country now all being about race. You hear it from DemoRATS, in Hollywood, on college campuses. All things are now racially motivated and I get sick of hearing when this country is the least racist country I. The world. This is the greatest mixing pot of cultures in the world. Do you have nuts that try and make race an issue, on both sides, but for most people race is never a factor in most people’s though processes. This soldier may have had friends murdered by Muslim Taliban. That might change my perspective as well. It is not my perspective. Having family that have served in every war since the Revolutionary War, war can mess you up. My Uncle served 3 tours in Vietnam and his views on Vietnamese people was not all that positive for many years. He also suffers from delayed PTSD from his experiences there. He still sleeps with a .45 under his pillow with his hand on it. Again, my point is racism is a minor issue in the USA

Yeah, a couple when I was in HS. The only adult “fight” was when I was in my 20’s. I let a girl punch me in the face because I was having an affair with her girlfriend and felt I deserved her ire.

And laws may not be written to discriminate anymore but the way they are enforced effects people of color differently than white people. I’ve seen it I worked in a police department where anytime someone saw people of color they’d come into the station and say there was shit in the litter box and laugh about it and pull them over more than white people. It’s still a problem. I no longer work for that department.

Not saying I have seen all reasons. What i am saying is that I have never seen race as a motivating factor for a fight. You seem to infer that it is a primary reason for a large percentage of fights. The football aspect was to illustrate that even in a racially diverse, mixed environment, that race never was a motivating factor in any physical altercation. You overtly seem to state that it is? Now you qualify it by saying this alleged assailant was a solider just back from Afghanistan that might be a little pushed off from things that happened there or seeing buddies killed. My whole point being, fights happen and race has little to do with it 99% of the time.

All I stated was this one fight was racially motivated. And yes I believe him being a soldier in the Middle East had a negative effect on him possibly causing racially fueled violence. Was he racist before not sure but I know in that moment all he was talking about was my friends race while physically attacking him.
