Did 6 miles at 6:30am this morning to beat the heat.
I love running. It helped me lose 30 pounds a few years back. All you need is a good pair of shoes. It's not the fashion show of many other sports.

Bicycling is the way to go. Easier on your joints, you burn more fat/calories, and it's 100x more fun!!

I'm sure if it weren't for the career in which I've chosen my answer would have matched the rest of America's, however, running is a requirement in the navy :(

I walk regularly, don't run. my daughter runs though, ran the LA marathon twice, and a lot of other ones too. I am very proud of her for that, and countless other things.

website, www.newtonrunning.com, the book Born to Run by Chris McDougall, and anything else related to those themes. Some of them have very interesting anecdotal stories by the authors on how this idea helped them.

I lose the progress I've made.
If you've had trouble with traditional running and still like the idea of running here's a few things to check out: www.vivobarefoot.com, www.invisibleshoe.com, Jason Robilard's free info and book, Ken Bob Saxon's…

Yes I do. Anywhere from once a week to thrice a week. This coming week I'll shorten my runs and make them once a day for two weeks to get my feet ready for some more distance. Consistency is key in a lot of things and barefoot/minimalist running is no exception. If I do it too infrequently…

Running no good for heavy boned people. Walk, cycle and swim. Running is out for me... My friends that run get withdrawal symptoms if they miss a run. I am not joking. It is some type of chemical endorphin withdrawal or something. They go nuts until they run, then aaaaaaa relax.

Running...no. But I walk the treadmill at a quick pace/incline five times a week. Biking 20 miles /3-4 times a week in nice weather. Just because you answered "no" to running doesn't mean you are obese or lazy.

This is why the Surgeon General considers obesity to be an epidemic in the United States. It's sad to see the majority abusing the greatest machine they will ever own.

No, that would be weird. Running is something you do to catch the bad guy or because the shooting started before you were ready. Running for exercise or entertainment means you need to reevaluate other, better options, like swimming or bicycling, or maybe you need to learn how to drive.

I run an average of 5 miles a day during the week and then long runs of 12-30 miles on Saturday. Have run 5 marathons so far this year and have 6 more this fall. When I started 2 years ago I was a 250 lb. ex hockey player with 6 knee surgeries. Down to 190 with no knee pain. Yea I run!

No. Not anymore :-( I developed plantar fasciitis this winter and I can't run yet. Hopefully by September. I was going to do a 10k in June, a half marathon in August and a full marathon in September. Now I get to do none of them. Sooooooo disappointed!!!
