Depends on the stakes of the game. Chess with my son.... sure. Blackhawks tonight....no!

When you play the game of thrones, you either win or you die.

I'm sure they still enjoy doing it, and the average person is not professional. You eat for sustenance, but also because it is pleasurable. A "play to win" attitude may earn you a trophy or money, but those types of people also are sore losers and

It will if your stats prove it. 200 yards in a game is still 200 yards whether you win or lose.

I'm sad to see the result of that game, but it was a great series! Now I have to root for the Rangers, only because they are an original 6 team.

So sure, the overall goal is to win, but I believe it is more important in how you win, and your mindset during the game, and if you can handle losing well, if not better than, winning.

Obviously, winning is important...otherwise there is no reason for a scoreboard or practicing. The object of a contest is to win. But sportsmanship is JUST as important, especially to a quality coach.

While I think good sportsmanship is very important, it IS about winning or losing. Why do we keep score if it's not?

I think its how I play. I like to play against myself and top what I think I can do. I don't care so much about the score at the end of it all.

oh I've won plenty, but the best character was shown after a tough loss. but if winning is all that matters to you, that's OK...just don't coach! Thanks.

How you play the game determines whether you win or lose so agreed.

Should I decide to coach, I will model my approach to align with both my HS and college FB coaches. It all about the win, and win we did

I'd rather try my hardest and lose than to not try at all and win. Democrats would be wise to learn that lesson.

I'm sorry, Miss Em. But, if ANY team had to take the Western Conference from the Champs, I'm glad it was the Kings. Now, I take Kings over Rangers. Are ya with me?...

Spoken as a true loser. It's hilarious that you would feel the need to be disrespectful to one who has a belief which differs from your own! OBVIOUSLY I touched a deeply repressed loser mentality in you! CHEERS

Hilarious, no doubt you are a "sport" wanna be, never won, never could, so buy into the whole "it's how you play the game" idiocy. American sports? It's all about the WIN
