I'm not going to have children, but I wouldn't if I did. I have some different beliefs than my parents. But I would raise my kids to have their own beliefs & make up their own minds.

Some of the values, sure. But homophobia and Catholicism gotta go atleast. I'll let my kids choose what they believe, but I hope I parent them well enough so that they aren't hateful at the very least.

I am a Christian, my parents are still confused and undecided. I'll raise my kids to know who Jesus is and let them decide if they accept Him.
I didn't know Easter was about Jesus until I was a young adult :-/

I'm not sure how to answer this...I was raised by a Christian and an atheist. I've decided christianity is what I chose to believe. My children already know there are other options and they won't be looked down on for choosing otherwise but for now

One of the most important things one can hand on to children is values. If I don't have confidence in my own beliefs, how is my child supposed to acquire anything worth having?

I'm going to raise my child to figure out what they want to believe for themselves. I'm gonna say "Daddy and mommy believe this; other people believe this. If you ever need a ride to any church, I'll be happy to drive you."

Definitely not. I'll raise them to question things and think for themselves and not to follow blindly what they're told and hold it as fact forever. They're their own people and it's not a parents place to force them into their belief systems.

Nope. I will try to show them the resources for most beliefs (including atheism). They will be their own person, and I would have them decide what to believe/not believe. If they ask, and they have, I will tell them what I believe.

According to her, we raised her to think for herself. I asked him once what he thought the kids of our generation (the hippie, atheist part anyway) would grow up to be, & he answered "religious fanatics." (The rebellion thing, I guess."
She didn't.

Not having any kids, but no. I was raised Lutheran. I'd be supportive if they found it on their own and felt they belonged there, but I wouldn't do that to a kid. I'd raise them to be curious, open minded, and skeptical of unsupported claims.
