Are life and death definitive properties of the universe, or constructs created by man based on our own perceptions?
On a grand scale the terms seem to have no meaning... for example, we say we die yet our matter continues to exist... I suppose you could say your individual self ceases to exist.. but even then I suppose can't actually say that with absolute certainty.
Things are transferred to something new, so nothing really dies. Our consciousness ceases (I guess) but energy remains.
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
This is a tough question. Does life and death exist or is it a description defined by man? Still not sure if I got it right.
Aren’t stars born and don’t they die.
We use the term born and die to describe these processes but stars are formed from the materials of previously "dead" stars and when these new stars die, they new stars are "born" from them.
