Do you think African Americans will still be a part of the Democratic base in 50 years.
I hope that in 50 years from now we know longer segregate American citizens. I hope all people are considered to be no different than others.
I mean if you think about it, African Americans have been consistently voting Democrat since the 30s, it's very rare for a demographic to vote the same way for over a hundred years. I don't know what to think but I think its a possibility the black belt could go red in the next couple decades.
True, but where blacks could vote the voted for FDR in droves.
Johnson was a racist who only passed it so that black people would be voting democrat. MLK was a republican, and so was his father
I don't appreciate you smearing MLK or non verified claims
He was also a socialist, so
God, I hope not. Africans in Amerika have so much revolutionary potential...
From what I’m seeing yes they will be democrats forever.
Wait...you know who signed the Civil Rights act you mentioned above right?
Exactly. I don't think you need to give out handouts to force people to vote for you if you are the one who let them vote. Regardless of if it was a political move or not.
And can you present evidence FDR bought votes for favors?
Or maybe he legitimately believed food stamps would help the country.
Again, regardless of any political motive, people got fed, and he didn't go around telling people "vote for me or no food stamps".
Again, I don't see how this is vote buying. It's not like FDR needed the votes.
Unless they wake up.
Well, he was?
I expect their loyalties will be divided between whichever political parties exist then, the same as everyone else.
Some will be, some will be some other party.
And in doing further research I found the idea that he was republican is a myth
